6 New Businesses breathe life into Blackpool South Beach area

One of the really nice things about working for Blackpool Council as Small Business Adviser is the number of positive people I come across.

Get Started has been helping people in Blackpool for over 9 years during which time we have helped over 1,000 people start a new business. That is pretty amazing when you consider we have been through very difficult times as a nation.

Whilst other resorts and towns have seen high street decline Blackpool’s town centre and peripheral area has seen it’s lowest shop vacancies in a long time.

As an individual I have been involved from day one and seen some superb successes including Charbrew, Links Signs and Graphics, Barcadia, Baxter Life Care, Promuscle and many more.

There are no two businesses the same. Everything from a Spiritualist to a Personal Trainer; Tradesman to an Accountant; Chauffeur to a Delivery person; Graphic Designer to a Tree Surgeon; Beautician to a Home Care Assistant.

South Beach(Waterloo Road area Blackpool) has had a tough few years since the glory days when Bond Street was modeled on London’s famous street, but in 2016 things are on the up.

Get Started offers support to all businesses in Blackpool.

Online presence is key to new businesses and over the past few months this has been a particularly key subject people are interested in. Getting yourself noticed really does make things happens. The fact you can achieve this free in many cases means it is something everyone should do. Specialists can assist for a small fee and we have two such people operating out of the Enterprise Centre, Blackpool. Independent companies 87 Tangerines, and xpwebservices are established ex clients of Get Started and are now tenants at the prestigious New Blackpool Enterprise Centre.
