Two dedicated mums have realised their dream to provide a creative new venue for local residents thanks to a little help for Blackpool Council.
All of Blackpool’s prestigious beaches have been granted Seaside Awards, it was revealed today.
A consortium of businesses have joined forces with Lancaster University to form a group to help fight cyber crime. The North West Cyber Security Cluster will enable businesses in the region to use the expertise of a pool of experts with the skills to put in place protective measure to reduce the risks posed by cyber security threats.
Blackpool has secured £1m to set up a new Tourism Academy aimed at raising the skills of people who work in the resort’s visitor economy. The funding comes from the government’s Employer Ownership Pilot (EOP), and will co-fund £2m investment in skills training planned by several leading tourism employers within Blackpool over the next 3 years.
Four Lancashire firms are to be honoured with Queen’s Awards for excellence in business – three in recognition for their international achievements and another for work in sustainability
