Women in Innovation Awards 2018

UK business women can apply for one of 8 Women in Innovation Awards: £50,000 funding each and a bespoke package of mentoring, coaching and business support
Through this competition, Innovate UK (IUK) has funding for businesswomen who have the potential to be successful entrepreneurs and leaders in innovation. A package of tailored support will assist those who have ideas and the flair to become leaders in innovation and deliver significant economic growth.

Applicants must be confident, with the support of an award, that they can make a significant contribution to one of the Industrial Strategy Grand Challenges

  1. Artificial intelligence and data.
  2. Ageing society.
  3. Clean growth.
  4. Future of mobility.

IUK is offering eight Women in Innovation Awards (two in each of the four Industrial Strategy Grand Challenge areas). The winners will receive a £50,000 grant and a bespoke package of mentoring, coaching and business support.

The competition is open to any woman in the UK with experience in business innovation in one of IUK’s four dedicated sectors. The applicant may be a company owner, employee or sole trader/entrepreneur in any size of business.

The competition is now open and the deadline for applications to be received is midday on Wednesday 3 October 2018.

Awards must start by 1 April 2019 and will last for one year.
