The Made Smarter Leadership Programme

The Made Smarter Leadership Programme is part of Made Smarter, the UK’s national industrial digitalisation movement to drive productivity and growth of manufacturing industries.

It’s run in partnership with Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), the University of Liverpool, and Manchester Met.

You’ll experience virtual visits to SME manufacturers around the region who are already on the journey of adopting digital technology. And you’ll take part in facilitated-learning sessions and short-term projects - delivered by Siemens Digital Industries - to test new ideas.

Sharpen your leadership capabilities and develop the skills to drive technological change in your business.

You’ll explore strategies to support the adoption of hi-tech and digitally-based manufacturing techniques into your own production processes. You’ll look at organisational culture, too. Themes such as, how to engage your employees as you all move through this digital transformation journey.

Throughout the programme, you’ll test your digitalisation ideas with your employees and key stakeholders in your business. These special project ‘sprints’ help you to build engagement within your business and break down some of the barriers to adoption.
