This session is an Introduction to understanding how to win contract based work from local Government, Housing Associations and larger companies who procure their suppliers through public procurement – better known as ‘tenders’
This can be a minefield when you are unfamiliar with the process – so this workshop would be a great place to start in understanding:
- Where contracts are advertised
- What Procurement Portals councils use and what they are all about
- The main principles of how an opportunity is advertised and what the documents might look like
- Must-knows (that nobody actually tells you!)
- Pre Requisites your company will need to bid for contracts (…it probably isn’t what you think it is!)
- How tenders are scored and how it is decided who has won
- TUPE (if applicable)
- Bid writing tips
- Whether you should hire a bid writer (and how to find one)
