Blackpool Unlimited Talks Business With Ged Mills
Ged Mills has built a career with his voice. As a veteran of the BBC, talkSPORT and Radio Wave, he’ll be familiar to listeners far beyond Blackpool. Yet his latest venture is very much home grown, and it’s appropriate he chose a podcast to discuss it with Blackpool Unlimited’s Kriss Wilson.
Ged Mills heard about Get Started, just one of the business services from Blackpool Unlimited, back when he was presenting on Radio Wave. Our ads planted the seed. Several years’ later, as he prepared to launch Content Creators Blackpool[1] and help more businesses take advantage of podcasting and video content, Ged got in touch with Blackpool Unlimited.
In the first of our series of short podcasts, Ged talks about his 20-year career in the broadcasting industry, about the Covid conditions that led him to launch Content Creators Blackpool, and about the fact that with a hundred ideas swirling in his head, he needed someone to help him find a strategic focus.
“What I really liked about Blackpool Unlimited is the fact you can come with a grand plan and they’ll never say, ‘forget that, what you need to do is X’. They ask, ‘so how are you going to do it?’ and they help you put plans in place to make it happen.”
This is how Ged made it happen.
