Creative Enterprise is calling entrepreneurs who work in moving image for storytelling, spanning film and television, games and technology, to maximise their potential and create opportunities for business growth.
Through funding, exclusive events, bespoke training and access to industry leaders and mentors, Creative Enterprise will provide expertise and support to future-proof the next generation of moving image companies.
Creative England is a national body with experience in growing businesses through programmes of bespoke support, investing in over 350 companies across film, technology and games. We truly understand creative business and we help them by providing a combination of tailored investment and support to develop new business models, deliver products and services and take risks on innovation.
Creative Enterprise has been developed with National Lottery funding from the BFI, to increase the sustainability of the moving image sector by optimising business opportunities through connections, training, expert advice and strategy support.
Creative Enterprise is an ongoing national programme and is open to entrepreneurs and SMEs working in on screen moving image for storytelling and working in the English regions outside of London.

Helping entrepreneurs to kick start innovative ideas. The New Ideas fund can offer grants of up to £25,000 to support the development of new and innovative ideas that have the potential to impact the career and business growth prospects of creative entrepreneurs and companies working in moving image for storytelling.
We want to help entrepreneurs creating narrative moving image content to try something new, something different. The fund is an opportunity to take a risk on venturing into a new area of the screen industry, test out a new market, pilot new technology, explore innovation. We’re looking for creative and commercial ideas that could create opportunities for growth for you and your business.

Many creative companies benefit from third party help but we know that the cost of such expertise can be off putting when prioritising your business expenditure. Creative Enterprise business planning support offers grants of up £5,000 to subsidise the cost of working with experts to support sole- traders and SMEs with their business planning and strategy. This may include acquiring specialist expertise, knowledge and contacts that will get under the skin of your company and refine your business proposition. At the end of this process, applicants will have developed a robust 3-year business plan that can then be used to direct the company’s future growth and as a tool for pitching for investment.
