Ollie brings a taste of Creamfields
to Blackpool
Up and coming DJ and Music Producer Ollie Crowe is creating music that will no doubt become anthems in clubs everywhere.
The talented nineteen-year-old from Blackpool, had an early start in the business, producing and DJing from the age of fifteen.
At the age of 6 it was apparent Ollie had an ear for music after receiving a keyboard from his grandparents and subsequently taking piano lessons for a number of years, it was clear he was going to pursue a musical career.
Self-taught in how to produce electronic dance music from the age of 14, he quickly became aware of European producers such as Avicii, and Martin Garrix who had a similar passion for electronic music from an early age as he did.
His accomplishments are evident in the amount of play he is currently receiving including BBC Radio Lancashire’s Music Introducing, with his tracks quickly amassing millions of streams on Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube and additional plays in clubs worldwide.
In his career as a DJ, he has already supported major artists such as Danny Howard, Tom Zanetti, Tieks & Kideko at a Blackpool Rocks spin off event The Arena. You’ll find him also receiving recognition from other industry standards like blog support from WeRaveYou & YourEDM, as well as airtime for his music on BBC Radio & Slam FM.
Ollie said ” I knew this was a career I had to follow so I was put in contact with Get Started who advised me about practical things such as registering as a Sole Trader with HMRC, applying for funding from the Arts Council and joining PRS for Music which means you can earn money when your music is used, they pay royalties to members when their work is performed, broadcast, streamed, downloaded, or played in public. I wouldn’t have know about this otherwise”
Ollie’s collaboration with Spinnin’ Records singer Mingue, titled Must Be Tonight, was released on November 17 2017 and other songs include In My Head, Need Me ft. ALKE, Precious Time, Stay and remixes of Jax Jones’ Instruction and the Maroon 5 hit, Don’t Wanna Know. It is no wonder that he has grown a loyal following that only continues to increase with every new release. There is no doubt that you’ll be seeing and hearing much more of him in the future.
Ollie will be DJing and performing his unique style of Electronic Dance Music, including music by Avicii and Martin Garrix, on the Freemantle Stage, South Promenade at the Blackpool Music Run, a live music event on the 23rd September. Headlining at the Festival are the Hoosiers and Union J and other live acts will be performing throughout the day which will help raise money for the Streetlife charity. Runners will be able to take part in either a 10k or 2k run with local artists and bands playing along the way.
